That allows for far more MAC Addresses compared to a 48-bit address. But for the Network Interface Controller, it goes to 60-bit. The OUI portion is the same 24-bit, like in 48-bit MAC Address. The EUI-64 is an extended unique identifier and stands for 64-bit MAC Address. Traditionally, the MAC Addresses are 48-bit in length, 24-bit for the OUI, and 24-bit for the Network Interface Controller. Note: These generated MAC Addresses are only for testing purposes, not for production purposes.
